Q: The racing season has already started. Is it too late to create and run a fantasy racing league?

A: It's never too late! Commissioners choose when the first draft of the season will occur, it does not matter if real races have occurred or not. After your league holds its first draft, the game is on and scoring begins!

Q: What if I join a Slipstream Draft league after that league has already held their first draft?

A: The commissioner of the league you are joining sets the league's policy on late join-up players. If they've chosen to allow late join-ups, upon your arrival to the league you'll be given a starting score either matching the league player with the lowest current score, or equivalent to the average score of all the players in the league, depending on what your league's commissioner has decided for late join-up starting score policy. You won't start with 0!

Q: How is Slipstream Draft different from F1 Fantasy?

A: Salary-cap fantasy racing games use a budget to constrain your lineup. Everyone in the league picks from an infinite pool of driver and constructors, which means everyone can put the exact same drivers and constructors on their team so long as they have the budget cap to do it. It's an exercise in doing the math to determine which drivers yield the most points for their price. Slipstream Draft is different. Slipstream arranges each league around live drafts from a very limited pool of drivers and constructors — much like fantasy football. In smaller leagues, there will only be one of each driver and constructor, so it's first-come-first served during the live draft. But the decisions aren't done once your league has held its Preseason Draft. Free Agent Trades open up as soon as the draft closes, and a unique Four-Draft season structure means no lead is safe, as mid-season draft reset the pool and re-seed the pick order based on league standings. It's a fundamentally different, deeper experience offering more interactivity between players.
